Westcoast Cheer is run by Leanne Parneta and Kelly Marshall, Directors and Co-Owners who oversee the program, staff, coaches and policies. Both have been involved in Westcoast Cheer since its inception. The combined experience of the Directors in cheerleading, business administration, marketing, public relations, accounting and child development ensures Westcoast Cheer is a successful sports organization which fosters a positive self-image for our athletes and seeks to give every athlete the opportunity to reach her personal best.

At Westcoast Cheer, we pride ourselves in our coaching staff. All coaches have undergone careful screening and training and have First Aid Certification. Our Professional and Head Coaches all have USASF level-specific certification. We have several levels of coaching staff as follows:

Professional Coaches

We utilize the resources of a variety of Canadian and American outside adult coaches, choreographers and mentors to assist us in creating the best program and routines each year.

Head Coaches

Our adult head coaches are responsible for creating warm-up and practice plans, management of their team and general choreography. Interested applicants must submit an application, resume and two reference letters and they must have a minimum of two years experience. All Head Coaches must be USASF (US All-Star Federation) certified, NCCP coaching certified, and a gymnastics background is expected.

Assistant Coaches

Our supervised teenage assistant coaches are responsible for assisting Head Coaches in the running of warm-ups and cool-downs, and in the administration of practices. Interested applicants must submit an application and two reference letters and take part in our Coaches Training interview.
